The practice philosophy is to improve your smile whilst conserving as much of your natural tooth structure as possible: this is the concept of “minimally invasive dentistry”.
In many cases we can simply remove existing worn out fillings and decay leaving only natural tooth remaining: the lost tooth structure can then be simply replaced using composite resin, (“bonding”), resulting in lifelike fillings which are strong in function.
At Law Court Dental Health we use the state of the art “Enamel HFO” system by ‘Optident’: this is suitable for both back and front teeth.
Case 1
This patient presented with an old,failing silver amalgam filling.Note the grey/brown around the edges of the filling which suggests decay.
The old filling was removed and the tooth restored with a "Venus" composite resin restoration.This treatment was carried out in one visit of 30 minutes duration.

Case 2
This patient, who is the wife of a local dentist, had some old failing fillings on the upper right. In addition, the second premolar tooth had fractured.
The old fillings, decay and pieces of fractured tooth were removed, note the amount of tooth structure which was lost.
The teeth were restored to function using EnamelHFO composite system. Note the lifelike appearance. This treatment was accomplished in one session of 2 hours duration.

Case 3
This patient attended with a large failing silver amalgam restoration....note the poor fit of the filling.
The old amalgam filling was removed and replaced with a combination of "venus" and "HFO" composite resin. Customised "Tescera" tints were mixed and applied to match the adjacent natural teeth.
This tooth was restored in one session of 50 minutes duration
